I just stumbled across this post you wrote. It made me laugh out loud! I had a similar experience with my turkey last Thanksgiving. I thought it would be a great idea to get a fresh turkey that had never been frozen...bad idea! The turkey had all organs and neck intact and apparently it is necessary to brine a fresh turkey. Well, I did not brine my turkey so it had a very rubbery texture. Nothing like impressing the in-laws with rubber turkey! Anyways, I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the post :)</description>
